Young SEO is in west Kansas City, Kansas, out by North 123rd Street. So I deal with the same thing every KCK contractor does: customers and directories mixing up the Kansas side and the Missouri side.

The state line problem
Someone in Kansas City, Missouri searching "tuckpointing kansas city" can get a Kansas business on the map if it is close, because the map goes by distance more than by state line. That part works for you if you are near the line.
Where it hurts is your listings. If a directory has you in Kansas City, MO when you are in Kansas, or has the wrong ZIP, Google has a reason to doubt your address. Every listing needs the same street, the same KS and the same ZIP.
Older brick in the east, newer houses out west
The east side of KCK has a lot of old brick houses and old foundations, which means tuckpointing, chimney and basement work. Out west by Village West and Piper the houses are newer and the jobs are different.
Same city, different work. Your website should have a page for the jobs you want, written for the part of town you want them in.
